The City of Clarksburg is going to be demolishing a substantial number of vacant and dilapidated structures. The city council has approved a $700,000 dollar loan to undertake the demolitions. The city will agressively work to collect the demolition costs from the owners of these structures.
The city has had one of the most agressive demolition programs in the state. We have worked with the West Virginia Housing Development Fund and have demolished over 200 structures in the past ten years.
